Country singing legend Garth Brooks joined Mark Cagney this morning by phone to discuss the announcement of a fourth date in Croke Park this July. During his interview on Ireland AM this morning, Mark invited Garth to appear on the popular TV3 morning show to which Garth replied:

“I’m going to take you up on it pal.

“If there’s any way we can get it done, let’s get it done”

Garth said that that no one is more excited about coming to Ireland than him and he can’t believe that the tickets sold out again.

“You’re humbled and you’re stunned and you’re excited all at one, and then the phone calls start coming in that people didn’t get tickets and I’m thinking how in the world did people not get tickets with 240, 000 of them and they kept saying is there any way for a fourth show and I just can’t believe we’re doing it. I’m just so excited.”

The country music superstar is not the only one excited about revisiting Ireland, his youngest daughter Allie Colleen will celebrate her 18th birthday on the newly added tour date. He revealed that he has never been away from her on her birthday and would have decided against adding another date had she not wanted to visit Ireland.

“So I was talking to my daughter and telling her the situation and she said ‘Dad do you think it’s possible that I could spend my 18th birthday over in Ireland?’ I looked at her and I said are you kidding me, do you want to? She started crying. She was so happy.”

While the father of three was delighted his youngest daughter wants to join him for her birthday, her choice of present didn’t go down so well.

“She wants a tattoo but I don’t know about that. We’re going to see.

“I just know that whatever it is, it’s going to be an event with this one because she’s definitely the last one. She’s got that last child personality so you never know what you’re going to get with this one. She’s a pistol!”
