fyi. celebrates its 1st birthday with the launch of a brand new bulletin on 3e called fyi. NewsByte. fyi. NewsByte is a lunchtime news fix in five minutes, which will air weekdays at 1pm on 3e. As well as catching up on the latest headlines, viewers can also check out the ever-popular Top 5 Downloads featuring the funniest web clips of the day.

On fyi. every weekday at six, Caroline Twohig, Cassie Stokes and Paul Walsh bring viewers the top stories of the day, as well as all the hottest tech news and sports headlines. fyi. offers a fresh, innovative, fast-paced show with a unique style of news for Ireland. It is, by far, the most interactive news programme on Irish television, featuring web and internet stories, top downloads, Twitter and Facebook updates as well as showbiz, sport and international news, along with the best of Irish content. fyi.’s average audience has increased by 50% since launch in March 2010 and it now reaches over 200,000 people each month.

Today sees the launch of a dedicated fyi. birthday webpage, featuring a ‘special’ news promo, with some walk-on parts from a few familiar faces, including Vincent Browne, Karen Koster and Elaine Crowley! Also online you can catch interviews with Caroline, Cassie and Paul, Ireland’s freshest on-air talent, as they look back at the last year.
