How often do we go to clean our fridge out? Edward shows us a soup to make with whats left in our fridge!
Ingredients
- 1 Rasher cut into dice
- ½ Carrot, peeled and chopped
- Piece of Suede, peeled and chopped
- ½ onion, diced
- 1 Potato peeled and diced
- Scrapings of Butter or Margarine
- 1 Clove of Garlic, chopped
- ½ Pint of Stock (Water from the cooked vegetables from last night's dinner)
- 100ml of Milk
- 1 heal of Bread cut into Dice10 ml of OilClove of Garlic peeled and chopped1 tsp of Cajun spice
Method
- In a pot melt the butter/margarine, add garlic and cook without colour for 30 seconds, add rasher and cook for further 60 seconds, add vegetables (not potato) and cook for further 2 mins, now add the stock, bring to boil, turn down and simmer for 15 mins, add potato and cook for further 30 mins, add milk and any left over herbs if nay that might be in fridge
- Liquidize and check for seasoning salt pepper, serve in bowl with croutons and fresh bread
- Heat oil on pan, add garlic and cook for 30 seconds, add Cajun spice and cook for further 30 seconds, add bread and cook until crispy, place on kitchen paper to dry, serve.
