Kate Upton: SI cover shoot was brutal

Kate Upton says being photographed in Antarctica for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover was one of the most challenging shoots of her career.

Kate Upton admits her second Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover shoot is the "hardest" she's ever done.

The gorgeous blonde once again graces the front of the coveted publication, showing off her famous curves in a pair of white bikini bottoms and a fur-hooded coat.

Kate was photographed in Antarctica for the cover and says the shoot was one of the most challenging of her career.

"It was definitely the hardest shoot I've ever done," she told People. "The best as well - Antarctica is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been to. But I'm from Florida, so it was pretty painful."

Swimsuit Issue editor MJ Day has praised the 20-year-old's perseverance in the arctic conditions. She revealed that Kate battled against the extremes to create the best photo possible.

"Everything about the picture is perfect. The light, the background, the suit. It's different from what we've done in past years, and it was an exciting moment for us to have those photos work out," Day explained.

"It was difficult. First of all, it's cold, even though we were there in summer. The wind chill was sub-zero - the elements are really working against you. She never complained. She'd just say, 'OK, let's go do it again.'"

Meanwhile, Kate has been unveiled as the face of Accessorize.

The beauty stars in the retailer's Spring/Summer 13 campaign which was shot in Barbados. She follows in the footsteps of stars including Lily Cole, Claudia Schiffer and Bar Refaeli.

Kate looks stunning in a range of bikinis and kaftans, drenched in vibrant jewellery, hats and sunglasses.
