    Freja Beha Erichsen not into social media

    Freja Beha Erichsen doesn't have a Facebook, Twitter or Instagram account.

    Freja Beha Erichsen says social media is "not for her".

    The Danish supermodel, 25, is so famous she has had several handbags and a haircut named after her. But unlike most of her contemporaries, Freja doesn't have a Facebook, Twitter or Instagram account.

    "I can see why it's great for people who want to share cool ideas and photos with each other, but it's not really for me," she told the British edition of InStyle.

    Having risen to fame after being scouted by a modelling agent while she was walking down the street in Denmark, Freja has appeared in campaigns for top designers including Valentino, Hermès, Isabel Marant and Chanel.

    In 2011, she was featured in the famous Pirelli Calendar, photographed by Karl Lagerfeld. She reveals the usually solemn-faced Chanel designer is actually quite funny.

    "Karl Lagerfeld has a great sense of humour and he's so creative - new ideas come to him constantly," she gushed. "I haven't met his cat Choupette yet, but I understand she's very popular online."

    Freja, who is also a spokesmodel for Maybelline New York, is currently based in New York. She has embraced the city since moving there three years ago.

    "There's an incredible energy to the place, so many creative people, such great art and music that you can never run out of things to do," she smiled.

    Freja doesn't really work out in New York, opting instead to eat healthy, organic food and walk everywhere she can. But when she visits Denmark, Freja steps up her fitness regime.

    "When I'm back in Denmark, it's all about going on countryside hikes," she said.
