Jennifer Lawrence says the best thing about her Golden Globes win was beating Meryl Streep.
The 22-year-old star was named Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy for her role in 'Silver Linings Playbook' at the star-studded awards ceremony last night (13.01.13) and she was thrilled to have beaten 27-time nominee Meryl, who was put forward for 'Hope Springs'. She quipped: ''What does this say? 'I beat Meryl!' '' On a more serious note, Jennifer paid tribute to the cast and crew of 'Silver Linings Playbook', especially director David O Russell and co-star Bradley Cooper. She said: ''David thank you for believing in me and giving me a chance. ''There's a reason why so many actors have thanked you from this stage, you are simply the best. Bradley, you are incredible and made me better every single day. Harvey, thank you for killing whoever you had to kill to get me up here today. ''And the entire cast of this movie: you guys are the heartbeat of this film. It wouldn't be the same without you guys... because then there wouldn't be a cast.''
