  • Blue want Take That style comeback

Blue are hoping for a Take That style reunion.

The 'All Rise' hitmakers have been inspired by Gary Barlow's band to make their big comeback in 2013 and hope their first new album in ten years, 'Roulette', will surprise people with its more mature sound.

Speaking at the world premiere of 'Gambit' in London's Leicester Square last night (07.11.12), Simon Webbe exclusively told BANG Showbiz: ''The old people are coming back now, that's what it's all about. Take That started it and we're all following!

''We want to let the music speak for itself because at the end of the day, no one was expecting Take That to come back with 'Patience', everyone was laughing saying, 'What, they're coming back? Whatever!', but when they heard the song it blew everyone away.''

The singers aren't worried about the market being taken over by younger boy bands like One Direction and The Wanted, and insist there is no rivalry between them and everyone has a place in today's charts.

Antony Costa explained: ''One Direction are fantastic at what they do - they've proven it, they're smashing America at the moment. Their fan base is probably different to our fan base, but hey, it's music - lets all enjoy ourselves and have no rivalries.''

Simon added: ''We remember being those kids, you've got to start somewhere. It's really nice, we get these guys coming up to us saying, 'We used to sing your songs, we sang your songs in auditions!', so it's a big circle and were just happy that were still here.''

The band - also comprised of Lee Ryan and Duncan James - have been working with Lady Gaga and Jennifer Lopez's producer RedOne over the last year and a half to record the album.

Antony said: ''It's been a long process, but it's been an enjoyable one as well.''
