    Taylor Swift loves speculation about her lyrics

    Taylor Swift approves when people try to link her song lyrics with her famous ex-boyfriends.

    The 'I Knew You Were Trouble' hitmaker - who used to date Jake Gyllenhaal, John Mayer and Joe Jonas - is well known for writing tunes about her high profile former lovers and while she never reveals who her songs are about, she welcomes the speculation because it means people are ''paying attention'' to her music.

    She said: ''It doesn't bother me when people try to deconstruct my songs - because at least they're looking at the lyrics, and paying attention to the way the story is told.''

    Taylor pours her heart out in recent release 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together', which features the lyrics: ''Hide away and find your peace of mind / With some indie record that's much cooler than mine.''

    The blonde beauty admits that section of the song is the ''most important line'' because she felt so sad that one of her exes never complimented her on her music during their relationship.

    She added to The Guardian newspaper: ''That was the most important line of the song. It was a relationship where I felt very critiqued and sub-par. He'd listen to this music that nobody had heard of ... but as soon as anyone else liked these bands, he'd drop them.

    ''I felt that was a strange way to be a music fan. And I couldn't understand why he would never say anything nice about the songs I wrote or the music I made.''
