    Jenna Dewan 'stabbed' herself for prom party

    Jenna Dewan ''stabbed'' herself for a prom party.

    The 31-year-old actress was invited to a Halloween bash where the theme was a 'dead prom night' and she came up with an ingenious idea to make her dress gory for the night.

    Jenna counts the evening as one of the most parties she has ever been to.

    In an interview with BELLO magazine, she said: ''I went to a party that was prom, but dead. It was awesome. They had the prom booths set up, and we would take pictures. I went to a vintage store, and I got a prom dress and then stabbed myself and had blood hanging off. It was fun. It was a great theme.''

    Jenna is not afraid of horror and she recently put pen to paper on a deal to star in the second series of 'American Horror Story'.

    The Hollywood beauty - who is married to Channing Tatum - admits she was very excited about meeting the show's creator Ryan Murphy when she auditioned for her part.

    She said: ''It was really more exciting than scary. I've been a fan of 'American Horror Story' and Ryan Murphy for a long time, so it was honour to be asked to do the show.''

    The upcoming FX series changes location and characters from the first series' setting in a haunted Los Angeles mansion. Instead, the action takes place in an institution for the criminally insane in the 1960s.
