Offaly managed to withstand a late Wexford comeback in Tullamore to secure their entry into the Leinster senior hurling final.
Wexford got into an early lead thanks to four points courtesy of Jack Guiney but a scoring spree of 1-4 from Offaly before half time gave them a lead that they never gave up.
Wexford never gave up though and came within one point of Offaly before a Shane Dooley gave them some breathing room.
Wexford steadily crept up on the hometown team but couldn't do enough to take the win. It finished 2-12 to 1-13.
