Kieran McGeeney believes his Kildare team can step up to a higher level in their All-Ireland SFC quarter-final against Leinster rivals Meath.
"I think there's more in them. This year, people failed to realise we had many injuries and I think we're only starting to come back now," he said in the wake of a comfortable Qualifier win over Monaghan.
"What we've tried to do is build up a panel and we're going to need it. It's going to be tough for us. It'll be a real step-up."
McGeeney was less than happy with the Croke Park display which saw off Monaghan.
"Maybe we took a few wrong options at times and our shooting certainly wasn't what we would have wanted, but they competed well and I'm pleased with that."
