Tipperary manager Liam Sheedy hailed the courage of his players following their narrow win in an epic All-Ireland SHC quarter-final against Galway.
"Galway held the lead and struck some good points and looked to be moving a bit better coming into the final five of six. But in fairness to the lads, they dug deep. They had the work done. They've trained at a very high intensity. It's just as well because they needed every ounce of energy they had," he said.
Sheedy conceded that Tipp must make improvements ahead of their All-Ireland semi-final against Waterford.
"Generally, if you concede 3-16, you won't win the game, but we outscored our opponents by a point. If we were to do that every time from here on in, we'd be happy enough."
