The Tribesmen stepped up their game in the second half, and got back in touch with points from Michael Meehan and Nicky Joyce, and a goal from Gary Sice.
But points from Donncha O'Connor and Paddy Kelly helped Cork weather the storm and hold on for a two points victory.
