Gardai are investigating after a road crash in Co.Westmeath in which three men were taken to hospital.

The accident happened at midday between Mullingar and Killucan, two men in their 30s are understood to be in a critical condition and were taken to Mullingar and Tullamore Hospital for treatment.

The road is closed with traffic diversions in place.
