A post mortem is due to be carried out later today, on the body of a man which was recovered yesterday evening during a search on Lough Derg in County Tipperary. 

The operation began on Thursday, after a capsized speed boat was discovered. 

The boat which was found close to the shoreline at Garykennedy was extensively damaged.

The last definite sighting of the boat was on Wednesday night near Dromineer, a short distance away. Two people were on board at the time.

The man has not yet been identified.
