Police arrest 29 over alleged Olympics ticket touting

London's Metropolitan Police have arrested 29 people over alleged ticket touting during the Olympics .

Two people were arrested on 27 July, and will appear in court this week.

Eight were arrested on 28 July and will appear in court this week or in August.

According to the Metro, one man was found selling tickets outside the Olympic Park in Stratford for £1,100 each. He had 31 tickets on his person and another 20 in his hotel room. He told police he had bought too many tickets and was trying to make back the money he had spent.

He was fined £435.

Earlier this month, police in the UK issued a new tout warning to people who wanted to secure last-minute tickets. They said that they had discovered a number of fraudulent websites selling tickets for the Olympics.
