Julien Macdonald is completely ''bonkers'' according to 'Britain and Ireland's Next Top Model' evictee Penelope Williamson.
The 19-year-old model hopeful - who was evicted from the Sky 1 HD show last night (30.07.12) - claims that outspoken Welsh fashion designer Julien didn't scare her because she learnt not to take his crazy ideas and the hurtful comments he threw at the girls too seriously.
Penelope exclusively told BANG Showbiz: ''He's very creative and he gets an idea and there's no one who can stop him from doing it!
''He is completely bonkers, but he's been a designer for so many labels and fashion houses, he knows the industry so well. ''He just takes it all with a pinch of salt and just winds everyone up. He is what you see on screen!
''We had a laugh, on one of the shoots he was like, 'Nice legs, shame about the face!'
''We just bounced off each other, and I took the mick out of him and he took the mick out of me. ''You can just talk to him and have a laugh with him as long as you don't take what he says personally, he never means it he just says it to get a reaction.
I think he was good fun.'' The fashion-obsessed blonde was also a big fan of straight-talking new judge Whitney Port, whose frank judging style left some of the girls cold, but Penelope thinks is a realistic take on the modelling industry.
Penelope enthused: ''I like the fact she's got amazing style, she's very opinionated, very honest and I think although the girls didn't necessarily like her as much as I did, that's her true insight into the fashion world.
''You go meet a designer and they're gonna love you or they're gonna hate you - and they're going to tell you either way. She's very intelligent and she knows what's she doing.''
