A classic Portuguese offering that is typically made from a blend of classic Portuguese grapes.

Light in alcohol, unoaked, often a hint of frizzante, this refreshing style of wine is just made for the hot weather.

 

Portico da Ria Albarino 2010 €9.99

 

Albarino is set to become the most exciting white grape out of Spain.

Locally this lightly aromatic white with its' notes of white peach and apricot is one of those memorable wine styles once the alcohol is kept in check.

Rarely oaked this great Spanish grape is all about the pleasures of summer with some lightly barbecued fish.

  

Ricossa Barbera D'Asti 2009 €7.99  

 

The Barbera grape when vinified in it's native Northern Italy can make one of the juiciest and most charming summer reds.

This Barbera is all about juciness and ease of drinking, it will be interesting to see how it fares on the show.

Merlot is enjoying a surge of popularity given its' richness yet softness.

This offering from Nugan if it is anything like its' predecessors should show very well on the show.
