Anthony Daly will wait until the last possible moment before naming his Dublin side to face Clare in tomorrow’s crunch All-Ireland hurling qualifier.
Earlier in the week, the Dubs boss conceded that Conal Keaney was all but certain to miss the trip to Cusack Park.
The Ballyboden St Enda’s star pulled up with a hamstring injury and was substituted after just 15 minutes of the Leinster semi-final drubbing by Kilkenny.
While Keaney is still a major doubt, Daly’s determination to give him the maximum possible recovery time will give supporters hope that he may yet feature at some stage tomorrow evening. Forward Conor McCormack is Dublin’s other major doubt after a dead leg prevented him for training this week, but Joey Boland and Ryan O’Dwyer have both declared themselves fit.
Banner boss Davy Fitzgerald is yet to name his starting XV for the clash, which throws in at 7pm in Ennis.
