Hurdler Jessie Barr and distance runner Stephanie Reilly both made their respective finals today.
Twenty two year old Barr set a new personal best of 55.93 which was enough to see her through to the final of the 400m hurdles despite finishing in fourth.
The top three in her semi-final went through automatically.
Wicklow native Reilly finished sixth in the second semi in the 3000m. Her time of 9.44.15 was the 13th fastest time overall.
However, Californian born, Tori Pena was unsuccessful in her bid to qualify for the Pole Vault final.
She failed to clear 4.4m and was eliminated from the competition.
