Vicky Pattinson from 'Geordie Shore' has accused 'TOWIE' of being too ''contrived''.

The reality star - who got engaged to her co-star Ricci Guarnaccio in front of the MTV cameras in May - says 'The Only Way Is Essex' is too ''contrived and structured'' and claims it would be ''more interesting'' if the Essex stars took a leaf out of the party-mad Geordies' books.

Speaking to heat magazine about when she last watched the ITV2 soap, 24-year-old Vicky said: ''I thought it was contrived and structured.

They're given a topic to talk about, and then the real action starts. ''If they had cameras constantly following them around, it would be a lot more interesting.

That's what happens with us.'' The couple claim their reality show - which follows the ups and downs of seven binge-drinking party animals in Newcastle - is completely unscripted, joking that the cast wouldn't have the brain power to memorse lines.

Ricci, 25, quipped: ''You couldn't script the arguments and fights we have. Not in a million years.'' Vicki chimed in: ''Half the 'Geordie Shore' cast couldn't learn lines, anyway. They haven't got it in them.''

The reality show's third series, 'Geordie Shore: Chaos in Cancun', premiered on Tuesday June 26.
