A man is said to be in a critical condition followinmg a stabbing attack in Gurranabraher in Cork this evening.

The victim in his 30’s suffered was attacked at Hollyhill Lane in Knocknaheeny at approximately 5pm.

He was taken to Cork University Hospital havinf suffered serious stab wounds.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have been in the Harbour View Road or Hollyhill Estate area between 5pm and 5.30pm and to contact Gardaí at Gurranabraher on 021-4946200 or the Garda Confidential Line 1-800-666-111.

No arrests have been made and investigations are continuing.
