The Happy Pear are back and this morning they are looking at Superfoods for Vitality, which can boost our energy levels. David and Stephen Flynn join us.
Asian sprouted bean salad
INGREDIENTS
Serves 20 hungry people (roughly)
4 carrots grated
1/3 head of white cabbage grated
10 g of arame seaweed - soaked in water (rehydrated) and then drained of water
1 red pepper sliced finely
1 yellow pepper sliced finely
3 cups of sprouted beans
Handful of sugar snaps cut in half
50g of roasted cashew nuts
50g of roasted sesame seeds
½ pack of bean sprouts
Dressing - put all the ingredients in the blender and press go!
½ squared of Ginger (small bit!)
2 cloves of Garlic
3 Table spoons Tamari / soy sauce
Juice of 2 Lemon
4 tea spoons of honey
150 ml of sun flower oil/ olive oil
METHOD
Mix all ingredients and dressing together and enjoy
