Seanad discussion heats up FG meeting

It is reported there were heated discussions last night among Fine Gael members over plans to reform the Seanad.
The debate at a parliamentary party meeting in Dublin focussed on Enda Kenny's decision to announce plans to scrap the Seanad.
Members are understood to be angry there was no consultation on the decision.
But after the meeting, Fine Gael party chairman Tom Hayes issued a statement saying the Parliamentary Party fully endorsed the Mr Kenny's announcement.
