Loveable slob from the town of Quahog and patriarch of the Griffin family, Peter like a lot of the residents of Rhode Island is an Irish American (although we have often met his adoptive and insanely catholic father Francis, Peter discovers his biological father is Mickey McFinnegan, the local drunk of a small town in Ireland). Initially working in the Happy-go-lucky Toy company, Peter lost his job when the company became a disease testing facility and has since worked as a fisherman, alongside a number of random jobs and bouts of unemployment and at the Pawtucket Brewing company - home of his favourite brew.

Peter's favourite hobbies include, watching TV, drinking with his friends at The Drunken Clam and the music of Kiss.
